Newaer, Inc

Description

• The team at new air created a software based proximity platform for Android and iPhone smartphones, enabling them to execute actions based upon the presence of other wireless devices nearby. Our platform for peer to peer knowledge enables any smartphone application to truly be smart. Our technology runs on Windows, Android, iOS and OSX and can leverage most radio waves, unlike technologies like iBeacon from Apple and Gimbal Fyx from Qualcomm. Our low-power and lightweight mobile software client (SDK) runs within a smartphone or PC, and has capabilities for a back end server (API) that can execute complex rule sets. These rules are created by developers or end-users of any mobile application software and are based upon your physical interactions with the environment. Our showcase application ToothTag allows for quick prototyping and gives inspiration to the power of our platform. Through our APIs, we allow you to develop and use our framework to trigger your own events, as an initial step before loading our SDK within your own application. Our Share application uses the SDK to enable anyone in the same space to share any file on any device instantly and automatically. The developer focused ProxPlatform is our core client and server side technology that lets mobile application developers on Android and iPhone/iPad iOS devices add presence events within applications. This technology makes smartphones truly smart by automating actions based upon people, places or things that are detected within a phone's proximity.Winner of Best Technology for the inaugural LAUNCH event in San Francisco, February 2011. Fierce 15 top companies to watch, summer 2013.Funded strategically by Intel Capital and Deutsche Telekom in 2012.
