- Dermetel is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing awareness about skin cancer and dermatologic, infectious diseases in the international community. Our activities include producing documentaries, publishing childrens books and pamphlets, distributing free sunscreen samples at colleges worldwide, organizing dermatologic health access fairs in underserved areas worldwide, and advocating for the passage of anti-indoor tanning bed and anti-Shellac UV lamp bills in the U.S. Congress, and more. Dermetel, formerly Dangerous Rays, was founded in 2011 by Manisha Kaura, a then-undergraduate student. We have grown from humble roots as a student organization with three members to an international movement with hundreds of graduate students, business students, medical students, and undergraduate students in two countries and thirty-six cities.
