• Klas Restaurant opened in 1922 is one of the oldest European Restaurants in Chicago and has been named a historic landmark in the Town of Cicero. Klas Restaurant accommodates several hundred guests with its dining room, four banquet rooms and garden terrace. The classic 14th Century styled wine and tap room is stacked with relics from year past. The bar was hand crafted by monks, there are story-telling murals on the walls, and the taxidermy and stained glass reflect the hobbies and beauty of the homeland. Klas offers authentic Czech cuisine, Czech wines, and up to 8 different czech beers on tap. The restaurant has entertained many prominent diplomats and interesting people in each era. Al Cappone used to play cards and hang at the restaurant all the time. Recently Klas has hosted the President of the Czech Republic and the NATO committee, Ambassadors, and many Czech performers. Klas proudly hosts local community organizations, and Czech American Organizations that hold meetings.
