There is so much to content marketing that there is really no way to do one blog post to cover everything, unless it’s an At-A-Glance post. I recently spent hours covering the basics of content marketing on a webinar, and that barely scratched the surface, left everyone mentally drained, and then took extra hours to just categorize the notes taken.  So I thought to share the at-a-glance version that would cover the highlights.

What is Content Marketing?

By definition, content marketing is the information made available by a website or electronic medium. In order to really understand content marketing, you must first be able to fully grasp what makes content.  Content is the message your marketing strategy delivers.  This can be done via many different routes:

  • Website
  • Email
  • Social Media
  • Landing Pages

There are many benefits, both tangible and intangible, for good content marketing.  If done correctly:
