- Rolland G. Huston started a landscaping firm in the late 50s. Rollands sons, Dale and Dwight, took over the small construction/landscape business in 1973 and incorporated it in 1975 into what we are called today, R.G. Huston Company, Inc. Under the current leadership and watchful eyes of two generations of the Huston families, R.G. Huston Company, Inc. continues to provide high-quality, professional construction service to its many public and private clientele. Dale and Dwight greatly expanded the companys size in the 1990s to include heavy earthwork and underground utilities. In the summer of 2001, Dale passed on his title of President to his son Brad, while Dwight passed on his title of Secretary/Treasurer to his oldest son Wade. Today, Huston Company is a union contractor that provides grading and excavation, sewer and water main construction, special concrete structures and continues to still provide landscape services. Huston Company also has available for its projects and the general public, aggregate products from its quarries located in and around the Cottage Grove area.
