Google to Remove Non Verified Plus Pages.  Things are changing at Google. If your company has a Google Plus page now is the time to ensure it has been claimed and verified.

Google recently announced they plan to start “shutting down those GMB–associated Google+ pages that have not been associated with user accounts and are also not verified.” This change will start on July 28, 2015. There’s no telling how quickly they will work through the non-verified pages. If you need to claim your Google+ page, you can find information on how to claim and verify here.

The reason behind this change seems to be simply to clean things up a bit on the search side. As unverified pages are brought down, local search queries will be dominated by those claimed and verified pages. While this is great news for those who have taken the time to complete this process, it could have a significant impact on those businesses without a verified page.

Take a few minutes and go through process to claim and verify your Google+ page today.
